LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has allowed the increase in salary cap of teams by $25,000, which would allow them to sign one more player for the third edition of the game.
A request was put forward by Lahore Qalandars to increase the salary cap so that they could include the players selected through talent hunt and make them a part of PSL squad. The request was formally approved by PCB Chairman Najam Sethi in a meeting held on Monday.
The meeting also discussed concerns raised by PSL franchises over the TTen league.
The PCB spokesperson further added, “All franchises unanimously decided on the issue of increasing salary cap by USD 25,000, allowing teams to make a squad of 21 players for the season.”
The meeting also discussed ways to streamline the talent hunt programs and declared that newly inducted players will be from Pakistan.
