ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif on Thursday requested accountability court to delay announcement of Avenfield verdict.
According to sources, Nawaz’s counsel Zafir Khan submitted a request in Accountability court-I stating that the accused wished to be present in court at the time of the verdict’s announcement.
The request includes details of Begum Kulsoom’s illness due to which Nawaz and Maryam have been in London.
Earlier on Tuesday, Judge Mohammad Bashir had reserved his verdict in Avenfield reference, ordering the accused to ensure his presence in court.
On Wednesday, Nawaz had requested the court to delay the verdict.
