KARACHI: Sindh Police’s Special Security Unit (SSU) commandos won seven medals at the Second Police Shuhada Memorial Shooting Competition held at the National Police Bureau in Islamabad. In the shooting competition, Commando Abdullah won a gold medal, Commando Arsalan won three bronze medals, Commando Abdul Shakoor won two bronze medals and Lady Commando Rubab Kanwal won a silver medal, according to a statement issued by the SSU. As many as 88 shooters of police departments from all over the country participated in the shooting competition. Different types of weapons were used in the event. SSU Commandant Maqsood Ahmed extended his heartiest congratulations to commandos who secured medals in the Police Shuhada Memorial Shooting Competition and hoped that they would continue to further improve their professional capabilities in the future. Two SSU commandos – Arsalan Anwar and Abdul Shakoor – won two gold medals and Commando Abdullah won a silver medal in the first Karachi Garrison Skeet and Shooting Range (KGSSR) Open Shooting Championship 2017, held last week, in which 120 shooters took part.
