LARKANA: An elderly Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) activist continued his protest in front of the local press club on Monday demanding a meeting with party leadership to share his grievances with them.
Comrade Allah Bux Shaikh told newsmen that for days he has been protesting for acceptance of his just demand to have a meeting with party chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other leaders but nobody has so far fulfilled his wish.
He said during Movement For Restoration of Democracy (MRD) campaign, he was also sent behind the bars and was awarded four-years jail term for being a staunch supporter of PPP.
Allah Bux said his only son died after being electrocuted while hoisting PPP flag but even then, nobody including provincial chief of the party Nisar Ahmed Khuhro came to offer condolences.
“I remained loyal to the party throughout my life but the local leaders are now turning a blind eye towards him which has disheartened him,” he said.
