ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 57% Pakistanis say that the government did wrong by arresting Hafiz Saeed.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Recently, Hafiz Saeed, the head of Falah Insaniat Foundation and Jamat-ul-Dawah was house arrested.
Some people said that the government has done the right thing, while others said that the government did wrong. What is your opinion?”
In response to this question, 39% said the government did the right thing, while 57% said the government did wrong meanwhile 4% did not wish to respond.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1784 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during February 6-February 13, 2017.
